Friend Trees

This is a photo I took back in the spring, in warmer days. No wonder the tree is sad, it's split.

My kid talks about "friend trees", and when they look out our back yard, they say the friend tree is talking to them. Then they ask me if I have a friend tree. I have a favourite tree in a local park. It's the tallest tree in the area, and somehow managed to survive the logging that I'm sure happened years ago. The sun sets behind it, and I took this shot last year, filtered through my sunglasses!

Owen, I love the tree photograph with the sun setting behind it. It gives me a peaceful feeling. Susan
I love trees; sitting beneath them, climbing them, collecting leaves from them...you name it. I should have been a wood nymph. You captured a lovely image with the sad tree, Owen and I understand your favorite. I've a favorite too though I don't have a picture of it. I used to spend many afternoons within its branches reading and imagining.
Very nice pictures, I loved the one with the sun behind it. And the sad tree...awww...poor sad tree.
Gorgeous photos. Really nice.
I need a friend tree.
Owen, that was a great post! Your little one is wise beyond her years.
I'm glad I checked out this post! I hadn't seen the frowning tree before.
I hope your exam went well. I've been thinking about you!
