my imperfect offering
when was the last time i posted a REAL post? i don't have an answer for that, but i presume it was at least a month ago. i've had a busy fall but that's not an excuse. excuses are for people who try to justify their priorities. i haven't been here simply because it hasn't been a priority. but here i am...
i've spent the better part of the past month studying. that's about all i want to say about that. i also have a road trip coming up for work. again, no more needs to be said about that.
on a more fun note, i've been to 2 live shows recently. an acoustic show by ron hawkins. a fine show that was sparsely attended, sadly. he's a very talented, witty fellow. the second show was at the same venue two nights later. the place was packed to see the rheostatics. i didn't get home until 3am that night. i think i'm still recovering... hah!
cbc is having a 'national playlist', where you can vote for the top 10 songs that should be on the playlist. i vote whenever i remember, for the weakerthans song 'aside', which, i recently found out, is in the movie 'wedding crashers'.

vote for the weakerthans, or another fantastic song by a band called Bedouin Soundclash, and their reggae/ska song 'when the night feels my song'. i dare you not to dance to this song when you hear it. anyone who doesn't smile while hearing this song is just trying too hard to be a grump.
snow is upon us.....
have you brought in all your frost-fearing plants from outside yet?

Yay for blogging, Owen...I've missed you in blog world!!
And yes...that song rocks, I've been looking forward to going home and listening to it again all day!!! Sigh...6 more hours until I can though.
Oh and yes...I have brought my plants in...only after they were frosted on once...hehe...now I'm babying me plants!
I just moved so I didn't have any frost fearing plants outside yet.
I will have to check out those songs!
