No excuses
I haven't been here in a while. I could throw all sorts of excuses, but it all seems so lame. I'll move on.
I was in two mountain bike races this past weekend. The first was an 8-hour relay that was great fun. The second was a mud fest, after a heavy rain Saturday night rain. I was still tired fro mthe previous race, plus, I forgot my water bottle in the car, so I was fluid-less for the first half of the race. It ended up being less of a race, and more of a fun ride. Some of the hills were so slick, I decided to walk up and down them.
My racing season has come to an end. I've signed up for a weekly core strengthening and flexibility course. It seems good so far. I'm pretty much the world's most inflexible person, so it can only help. The class combines yoga and pilates and some tai chi. I'm already feeling an improvement.
My Ipod died on me a couple of weeks ago. It started to make that sound that a failing computer hard-drive makes when it's pooched. whrrrr-whrrr thunk, whrrrr-whrrrr-thunk. I sent it back to Apple ($40 for shipping), and they sent me back a brand new one, all within a week, so I'm happy again. I'm not really a high-tech person, but if I had to have one high tech gadget, it would be my ipod. I hardly ever use my cell phone, and my PC, well, this is mostly for work. I have an old palm pilot too, but I don't use it.
I'm currently listening to the Paste Magazine Sampler CD, issue #17
I'm currently reading: John Irving's Until I find you.
I'm currently watching: the new season of LOST (not right this moment, but in general)
